Well it's official - I'm one year older - Hello 26!
Twenty five was a fun roller coaster of a year. I learned a lot. As I reflect back on the past year I think the greatest learning experience was to accept quality over quantity. Now this isn't just related to fashion but to every aspect of my life. In the past year I learned it is best to have a small quantity of good quality friends as opposed to a bunch of acquaintances with no depth to the relationship. In addition I learned it's better to travel to a good quality location as opposed to taking small little trips. As for food - well everything in moderation!
I also have learned in the past year to be comfortable in my own skin - I'm loud, opinionated, drink lots of coffee, wear bright lipstick, own a ton of handbags, I'm direct, confident, I love full heartily, I don't tolerate dishonesty, I take lots of pictures, I'm always over dressed, and I eat lots of ice-cream with sprinkles. If someone can't appreciate me for who I am then it's their loss. I'm over the days of conforming into a mold for everyone to like. It took me a while to get to this point but for everyone out there who thinks it's easier to confirm than be themselves - don't - it's easier to be you! I am who I am and if I'm family can accept me then I'm a happy tulip!
Another valuable lesson learned in the past year is - my sister is always right. That is just a fact of life and I've learned to accept it - finally. So yeah. B you do know what is best!
I'm excited for twenty six and I can't wait to see what the year will bring. Most importantly I'm done with school and I need to find a real world job and get my own health insurance. Woot woot.
Now I'm off to have a cupcake...or two!
