#TBT | Miami

This week's #ThrowBackTravel destination is Miami!

My sister and I went to Miami in November 2010. It was the week before Thanksgiving and the weather was wonderful! It was a great break from the Michigan cold!
We did a ton while we were in Miami - however when I was putting this post together I realized half the things we did the establishments are closed now! Regardless I'm going to share all the fun things we did because legit my trip to Miami was beyond fun! We booked our hotel through AMX Travel - we stayed at Blue Moon Hotel. Location wise it was great! We didn't have a car therefore we walked everywhere.

Think back to 2010 when Jersey Shore was a hit and everyone was wrapped up in trashy reality TV shows. Therefore I created a "Trashy Reality TV Show Tourist Day." I forced my sister to follow me along on visiting all the spots seen no Jersey Shore Miami and Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami. The locations included Metrapole Hotel, DASH Miami, b.e.d., FELT, and Lecca-Lecca Gelato. Yes I met Enzo and took a picture with him! Judge me.

After the lovely Trashy Reality TV Show Tourist Day I put together we went to Historic Spanish Village and explored the lovely Espanola Way Village.

At the time - The Versace Mansion had Afternoon High Tea. I made reservations a month in advance for my sister and I - because that was the only thing we could afford at Versace Mansion. It was probably the best Afternoon Tea experience I have ever had! Not only were we able to dine inside the Versace Mansion - but the service was incredible!!! I am so bummed they no longer offer Afternoon High Tea because I wish everyone could experience this!

At night we walked along Lincoln Road Mall. We grabbed dinner at Paul and mostly walked around - at some point there was a DJ in a store window and of coarse I took a picture.

We kept it classy on day two and started the day off exploring Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.

For lunch we went to Emeril's Miami Beach - which is no closed! My sister loves Emeril and sometimes believes she belongs on the Food Network. The food, view, service was all incredible!

For dinner we went to Tavern Opa with our friends - the location we went to is closed now.  It was the most fun dining experience I have ever had!

Miami is a fun place with lots of exciting things going on. A girls trip to Miami is a must in my book! I'm so happy my sister and I had a chance to go to Miami and experience all these fun things before they closed - now we must go again to experience all the new venues that have opened!
