While in Iran my mom, sister, and I took the time to travel to Kashan. It was out first time traveling to Kashan and it was lovely! The entire city almost always smelled like rose water. Kashan is known for it's Festival of Rose and Rose Water - unfortunately it was over by the time we got there. Nonetheless the city was a beautiful sight to take in.
My sister put in all the effort to plan our trip to Kashan and organize everything - mad props to her. We did not go with a tour because I fundamentally dislike tours and feel they are limiting.
Thanks to my sister's tireless research we stayed at a phenomenal hotel! In Kashan we stayed at the Manouchehri House hotel. The house is a boutique hotel that once used to be a private residence. The service and atmosphere at the hotel reminded me of being in an American/European hotel - it was top notch! It was like any other hotel I've stayed in Iran before. I HIGHLY recommend Manouchehri House to anyone traveling to Kashan.
After checking in to the hotel we started exploring the traditional houses in Kashan.
The first stop was Abbasian Historical House.
The first stop was Abbasian Historical House.
The Abbasian House also has a Traditional Restaurant which makes serves delicious traditional Kashani food. I fell in love with the "Shefteh Sumac" dish - absolutely delicious!
