A few weekends ago my sister was a part of throwing a baby shower for her co-worker. When my sister gets involved it generally means I am automatically involved. She is really good at pre-planing, coming up with a theme, and buying the supplies. I come in day of and actually put everything together and take care of the baking. We work best as a team! We have also become pros at throwing baby showers (we threw this cowboy theme shower back in May). This time around the theme of the shower was Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter. Since the gender of the baby is a surprise we tried to be very gender neutral with colors and keep everything whimsical.
My sister did an awesome job carving the watermelon baby - mad engineering skills went into that. The adorable onesie party favor cookies were made by none other than the talented Jackie's Cakes and Edible Creations! Another one of her lovely coworkers made the diaper cake, and I tried my best to put it all magically together.
Now all that is left to do is wait and meet this little bundle of joy!
