One of my favorite things to do during the summer is to head to D.C. and visit the summer exhibit at The National Building Museum. They always have the most innovative and interactive exhibit on display during the summer time. This year NBM and Studio Gang present Hive instillation, on display until September 4. I was super excited to head down to D.C. to checkout this fun summer exhibition.
The Hive exhibit is built of 2,700 paper tubes of silver exterior and bright pink interior. The installation reaches to 60 feet tall and it's definitely worth going up to the top floors of the museum to get an aerial view of the exhibit. The exhibit is super kid friendly - lots of little ones running throughout, it was a fun challenge snapping photos sans kids. The exhibit is very interactive and super family friendly! The exhibit goes through Labor Day, be sure to get your tickets and check it out!
