5 Holiday Things To Do in Baltimore

'Tis the season!! All of the holiday lights are up, the trees are lit, and there are a ton of activities going on in Charm City! Today I'm rounding my favorite events and things to do in Baltimore during the month of December!

1. German Christmas Village //until December 24
The German Christmas Village is located at Inner Harbor. The Christmas Village is a combination of an indoor and outdoor holiday market. There is food, shopping, entertainment, and so much to do!! My favorite thing is the hot cocoa and German pretzels! Be sure to check the hours and visit the village before it closes on Christmas Eve!

2. Pandora's Ice Rink // until January 15
The Ice Rink is located at Inner Harbor. I'm not a Olympic figure skater but I can manage to ice skate once a year during the holidays! It's on elf my favorite winter activities. I live so close to Inner Harbor that I can walk by and see the rink every night. It's open late and will be on display well into the New Year!

3. Dollar Days // December 9 & 10
Dollar Days weekend is when Baltimore attractions open their doors for free or $1 admission. This includes my personal favorites National Aquarium, American Visionary Art Museum, Christmas Village, Top of the World, and many more! See the full list here.

4. The Miracle on 34th Street Light Display // until New Year's Day
This beautiful light display is located in Hampden. If you are into festive holiday lights - who isn't - be sure to make your way out to Hampden on 34th Street (between Keswick Road and Chestnut Avenue) to see the marvelous light display! You have the option of driving by or walking the block to take in all the festive holiday lights.

5. Monument Lighting // Thursday December 7 from 5pm to 8pm
This event takes place in Mount Vernon. At the event there is food, music, holiday activities, and fireworks. The lighting of the Monument is followed by spectacular fireworks display. I mostly go for all the yummy food from local vendors!!! Be sure to bring cash as many of the booths only take cash and not credit card! This event will be in 2 days so mark your calendars and don't miss out!

Fall Apple Picking near Baltimore

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go apple picking! Since moving to Maryland I've tried to go to various orchards and farms to check them all out and see what they have to offer. Today I'm sharing my favorite spots to pick apples, go on hayrides, pumpkin patches, and all things fall in the Baltimore area!

Baugher's Orchards and Farms || This orchard is the real deal! They have endless rows of apple trees and a pumpkin patch. Be sure to check the website to see what kind of apples are ready for picking. Baugher's also has a market to buy decorative pumpkins, gourds, mums, and delicious cider. Be sure to try the ice-cream!! You can easily spend a day here having a fun fall day! I do suggest to get here early as lines get along later in the day. Also be sure to have cash on hand for tickets!

Weber's Cider Mill Farm || I visited Weber's recently and in my opinion it is more a local market that allows you to easily pick up fall things. There are a few apple trees, but not to the scale of Baugher's. In my opinion this is a great spot to go for a quick fall run to pick out mums, pumpkins, decorations, and grab apple donuts and cider.

Summers Farm || This place is perfect for families!! It is located in Frederick and there is so many activities for the kids that they could easily spend the entire day here. I did a blog post last year on my visit to Summers Farm. There are so many activities such as corn maze, pumpkin patch, apple blasters and much more. The corn maze is a blast and took a solid hour for us to complete, mostly because we kept getting lost taking photos. Summers Farm had the best hot apple cider and cider donuts in my opinion!!

Larriland Farm || This orchard is located in Woodbine and allows you to pick your own apples and pumpkins and more depending on the calendar. They offer haydrides and a straw maze and a boo barn for kids.

Happy Fall!

Pleated Midi Dress

Nothing says like summer like a pretty white dress, oh and a delicious snow cone!! I finally had the chance to go to Peterson's Snowballs. I am borderline obsessed with snow cones. When I was living in Hawaii for a month I had one nearly every day! These snow cones from Paterson's totally took me back to my Hawaii days/

I've been living in dresses these last couple weeks of summer. I love throwing a cropped denim jacket over a dress and pairing it with sandals to give it a more casual feel. I find midi and maxi dresses way more comfortable than jeans and a tee during the summer heat! I'm going to try and soak up these last couple weeks of summer before I have to trade in my dresses for sweaters!

What does everyone have planned for Labor Day weekend? Wishing everyone a lovely long weekend!!

Fitness on the Fly

I LOVE traveling. It's the reason behind I started blogging, to be able to share all of my travel adventures with the work  The not so glamorous part of traveling is airports and being in transit for hours. I tend to over plan therefore I constantly arrive early to the airport. For someone who has so much energy I find it extremely boring to sit still at the gate. Thanks to ROAM is changing airport experiences for travelers by offering the first of a kind gym and shower amenities inside the airport terminal. I had the chance to tour the newly opened ROAM Fitness inside Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) a few weeks ago and I'm excited to share it with you!

The Basics

ROAM is located in the D/E terminal past security in BWI. ROAM allows travelers to get a workout in pre-flight or if you have a flight delay and need to kill some time and prefer to break a sweat instead of sitting idly waiting for your flight! ROAM has an exclusive partnership with Lululemon and allows travelers to rent or purchase gym clothes including Brooks shoes! The gym is open from 5am - 9pm every day.

Bromo Seltzer Art Tower

Baltimore has a lot of fun things to do. I constantly have a running list of places I want to visit, eat, and things to do in Baltimore. One place on my list has been the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower. The tower has such history and I was always curious to visit the clock tower since the repairs in April. A few weeks my sister and I went to the tower for a tour on Saturday.

The guided tour begins with a presentation and the history of the tower followed by a tour of the clock tower. The entire tour is about an hour long and in small groups of about 15. It's a fun activity for the family on a Saturday! I really enjoying exploring the clock tower and learning a little bit more about the history of Charm City!

I finally made it out to the Baltimore Farmer's Market! It's been on my list of things to do for this spring and summer. My darling friend Christina and I went super early on Sunday to beat the crowds and get our food on. I love that the farmers market allows you to buy produce and eat delicious local food. The lines for Zeke's Coffee and biscuits was super long for 7:30am!

I picked up produce from Knopp's Farm on the Shore, and some outrageously delicious mushroom assortment from The Mushroom Stand, a pretty bouquet of flowers from Two Boots Farm, and delicious drink mixers from Le MONADE. I've been hooked on the citrus thyme mixer since I got it! Every day I've been treating myself to lemonade after work. It's absolutely delicious! All the vendors were super nice and helpful. At the mushroom stand the seller was kind enough to explain how to cook the mushrooms and different ways to incorporate them in my meals. The lovely owners at Two Boots Farm listened to be complain how I can't find peonies anywhere and recommended I check out Local Color Flowers for my peony fix.

As for my outfit, the lemon print cardigan was a hit! I received so many compliments on it and many people asked where it was from. It's currently on major sale at J. Crew, shop the cardigan and shell here! I layered the set with a collared shirt for extra coverage since it's a tad short. I can definitely see my self wearing the pieces separately. It's such a fun print and pop of color! I recommend a large straw tote bag for a trip to the farmer's market to store all your purchases. It definitely comes in handy and allows you to be hands free for more produce shopping and eating delicious food.

The Baltimore Farmers Market is open every Sunday underneath the Jones Falls Expressway from 7am to noon until December!

Have a lovely weekend!
