The weather is quickly getting colder and it's time to layer on the winter coats. My winter wardrobe consists of basic layers and bright coats. I prefer to invest in winter coats instead of sweaters and tops. A great coat is timeless and fabulous during the colder months. If you are traveling during the winter months I suggest packing a few basic sweaters in black, white, grey and a few bottoms such as jeans, black denim, and leather leggings and then pack a bunch of different coats to change up your look! I've linked a few of my favorite winter coats below.

Have a lovely day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!! With Christmas in the rear view mirror it's time to look forward to New Year's Eve! Last year I had an epic NYE in NYC (read post here) and I don't think anything can top that! This year I'm staying local in Baltimore since I'm still recovering from my foot surgery and my sister's baby is due any day now.

For this year's NYE look I decided to go with a metallic pleated skirt! This skirt is so festive and can be styled so many different ways. I chose to pair it with a classic jeweled sleeveless top, black blazer, and classic black pumps. I finished the look with minimal makeup and a bold lip. I had all these pieces in my closet however never paired them together - sometimes it's fun to shop your own closet! I've shared several metallic skirt options below. For more New Year's Eve outfit inspirations see my look from last year here.

Have a lovely day!

Coat: c/o SheIn | Denim: J. Crew | Boots: c/o Dolce by Mojo Moxy | Bag: c/o Urban Expressions | Scarf: Haute Hijab | Rings: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Nordstrom | Lipstick: MAC Ruby Woo

There are two trends I've always wanted to try but was hesitant because I didn't think I could pull it off - Leopard Coat & Over The Knee Boots. For reference I'm online 5'3 therefore I made my peace with never being able to pull off the OTK boot trend. I've tried on numerous pairs of Stuart Weitzman boots however never found one flattering for my petite frame. I basically gave up on OTK boots until I spotted the Anderson pair from Dolce by Mojo Moxy. This beautiful neutral pair works for me because the boot shaft is a bit slouchy and doesn't make me look like I have chicken legs. I never liked the super tight OTK boots and since I was short they would hit me at the thighs which is definitely not my style - or modest. This pair is perfect!! I wore them all around NYC and got so many compliments on them. The heel is a block heel which makes it super comfortable and I can always use an extra few inches.

This leopard coat is a steal for less than $50! Since leopard is such a bold print I paired it with classic denim, neutral sweater and scarf, and these matching OTK boots. I'm borderline obsessed with the coat now and deciding I need to add a ladylike long leopard coat (like this one and this one) to my wardrobe!

Thanks for stopping by!

While everyone is reaching for red this holiday season I prefer to add a little blush pink to my look. I paired my favorite black tuxedo trousers with a feminine bow blouse and blush faux fur coat for a holiday look. The vest adds a major dose of texture and perfect for the winter holiday season.
