One more thing off the D.C. bucket list - I finally had the chance to Tour the Capitol building! All thanks to our Cali friend who was in town who managed to get me and my sister tickets for the tour. Since it was Saturday tour Congress was not in session - therefore no gallery view. The tour began with a short 15 minute film "Out of Many, One" seen at the Visitor Center theatre. Afterward we met up with our guide and he gave a tour of the Crypt, the Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. It was just about an hour long tour - just right. However most likely I will try and go back once during the middle of the week when Congress or the House is in session to get tickets to the gallery!
